Butte Young Musician’s Club holding general registration January 18th

The Young Musician's Club is holding registration for the upcoming year for students in 4th through 12th grades Thursday, January 18th in the band room at East Middle School.  The Young Musician's Club is an excellent way for kids to get involved in a rewarding activity that not only teaches how to play the instrument but how to play as a group.  And what a great way to push boundaries and start friendships.

The Young Musician's Club is offering instruction for prospective drummers and guitarists as well as those interested in flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone or expanding their vocal talents.  YMC instruments will be available during registration.  Classes will run Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:15pm to 5:30pm and will start next week and follow weekly at East Middle School.  If you currently rent a YMC instrument and want to continue your rental, please contact Tom Patton at (406) 490-1537.

The Young Musician's Club will follow current CDC/Butte School District Covid-19 guidelines for instrumental music instruction.  The classes that will be offered will depend on the registration size. The cost is $60.00 and will average out to just over four dollars per instruction session.  If you miss this general registration session, others will be held on January 22nd and 23rd between 4pm and 6pm.  If you are unfamiliar with the East Middle School campus, to find the band room, go through the Stuart Street gate, drive behind the school, and enter the building through Door 12. Watch for signs directing you to the band room.
