Butte High lists weekly activities schedule

A full week of activity is in store for Bulldog athletic programs.  Let’s take a look at this week’s Butte High school schedule.

BASKETBALL

The boys/girls' varsity doubleheader against Flathead that was wiped out by the storm from a couple weekends ago has been rescheduled for this Tuesday with a full slate of activity spread out over 2 locations.  On the girls' side, the freshmen will play at 1pm at Butte High with the sophomores taking the court at 4pm.  The JV and varsity squads will square off in the Civic Center with the JVs at 2:30pm and the varsity contest at 5:30. The boys' freshmen game will be at 2:30pm at Butte High with the sophomores at 5:30.  The boys JV will be at the Civic Center at 1pm and the varsity contest at 4.

A similar schedule will follow on Thursday when the Bulldogs host Helena Capital.  The boys sophomore squads will square off at Butte High School at 2:30 and the freshmen at 4.  The boys JV game will be at the Civic Center at 4pm as will the varsity contest at 7pm.  On the girls' side it’s the sophomores at 2:30pm and the freshmen at 4pm.  The girls JV contest will be at the Civic Center at 2:30pm and the varsity game at 5pm.

Saturday the teams will be on the road at Helena High.  The girls' freshmen will play at 11am at Bryant gymnasium with the JVs at 12:30 at the high school followed by the varsities at 3:30pm.  The boys sophomores will be at Bryant at 12:30 with the freshmen game, also at Bryant at 3:30.  The boys JVs play at 11am at the high school and the boys varsity contest is at 2pm.

SWIMMING

The Butte High Swimming Team will see considerable action this weekend as they host the Butte Invite Friday starting at noon and then will travel to the Missoula Invite on Saturday.

WRESTLING

The Bulldog Boys Wrestling Team will host a pair of dual meets on Tuesday taking on the Bozeman Hawks at 4pm and the Gallatin Raptors at 6pm.  The Bulldog/Raptor JVs will get it on at 5pm.  On Thursday, the JVs will head to Whitehall for a dual meet at 6pm.  On Saturday, the varsity squads will be back at home for another pair of dual meets.  First up is Glacier High, JVs at 11am, varsity matches start at noon.  The day wraps up with the Flathead Braves, JV at 4pm and the varsities at 5pm

The Butte High Girls Wrestling Team is in action Monday with a mixer in Dillon getting underway at 5pm.  On Tuesday, the girls will also be entertaining teams from the Gallatin Valley at home along with the boys team.  The girls will take on Bozeman at 4pm and Gallatin at 7.  On Saturday the girls will be on the road against Glacier in Kalispell at noon and then against Flathead starting at 5pm.
