You know how sometimes people mix up Memorial Day and Veterans Day? It’s totally understandable—they both honor those who’ve served in the military, and they’re both national holidays. But they actually have pretty different meanings.

To say that the World Museum of Mining is an important part of Butte's history and culture is truly an understatement as people travel far and wide every year just to see this wonderful attraction. Would you be interested in lending an hour or two on Saturday to help clean up?

Mother's Day Weekend is always jam-packed at the Butte Civic Center, what with Mayfair happening with KXLF which, of course, is one of the biggest fair and trade shows in Montana.  It's an incredible event and something we all look forward to every year.  You can count on finding many old friends wandering through the booths of the Civic Center arena and vendors from just about everywhere in Montana, but in the Civic Center annex on Saturday there is something else happening that you need to know about.

Montana has its fair share of haunted places, but what's the most haunted place or item in Montana? We head to Butte for that.

If it's been a while since you took Mom to a nice Spring Tea Party, and most likely it has, you've got a chance to make up for lost time this Saturday at the Belmont Senior Citizens Center here in Butte. Saturday, May 3rd is a Wonderland-inspired tea party that will include a lot more than tea. You can also bring along the whole family because everyone is welcome, and all are invited to dress up as well.

Montana is home to one of the biggest historical districts in America.

Monday night around 8:45, the Mountain View Cemetery, the final resting place of Evel Knievel and a testament to Butte, Montana's colorful past, was vandalized, apparently by a white box truck, tearing off the beautiful wrought iron arch and support that has stood for well over 100 years.

A local group in Butte is rolling up their sleeves to make 3,000 pasties for Our Lady of the Rockies.

Butte is known for many things, but recently it has become the new "it" place for something other than mining.
