You generally don't have to add any fuel to the fire that is the excitement of a Tech/Western game.  But they're doing it anyway.

Let's talk about the game first.  The University of Montana-Western Bulldogs come into town sporting a 3-1 mark and sit just outside the Top 25.  Western's sole loss came on the road at the College of Idaho where they were outlasted by the Yotes 37-35.  The Orediggers beat the Yotes 44-35 September 23 at Bob Green Field.  Montana Tech is 4-1, ranked #11 and riding a 4-game winning streak since their 21-19 setback in their season opener against Carroll.  Other common opponents include Southern Oregon who Western beat at home 24-23 while the Orediggers beat the Raiders in Ashland, Oregon 31-21, and Eastern Oregon who Western beat on the road 38-14 while Tech beat them at home 49-31.

During the game, Montana Tech will present the newest members of their prestigious Hall of Fame.  The class of individuals includes former student-athletes Chris Casne, Byron Olson, Bryan Vaughns, and William Tiddy as a Legacy member. The 1982 Volleyball Team will be inducted as the only team entering the Digger Athletic Hall of Fame this year.

You don't want to wait until the 1pm kickoff time, though.  Starting at 9am, Metals Sports Bar and Grill along with our brother-in-green Paul Panisko and the great folks at Dig City Supply will be hosting "Kegs and Eggs" with breakfast, drink specials, trivia, prizes and all of the Green and Copper you'll need for the tailgates and the big game itself.  And the tailgate is going to be big as Montana Tech graduate and rising country music star Tanner Laws will be performing live.

Get your advance game tickets here and avoid what is sure to be a big line tomorrow.
