Butte Silver Bow Kiwanis To Host Annual Bike Rodeo Saturday
The Butte Silver Bow Kiwanis is hosting their annual Bike Rodeo this Saturday at the Butte Plaza Mall, from 10:am – 12:00 pm.
Silver Bow Kiwanis has been serving Butte, Montana, and the surrounding area since 1960 with service projects focusing on the needs of young children and developing future generations of leaders. Silver Bow Kiwanis does an incredible amount of good in Butte and Southwest Montana. From health and wellness fairs to cleaning up local highways, and neighborhood parks, they strive to make our community better.
The annual Bike Fair is one of those fantastic programs. This will be the 24th annual bike rodeo that they have held for families here in Southwest Montana. There is a bit of a change from years past, this year the event will be held at the Butte Plaza Mall, rather than the Butte Civic Center.
This is an event to teach kids about good bike safety, covering everything from hand signals to proper braking, and road awareness. There will also be mechanics on hand to tune up and repair your bikes as well. This is also a good time to make sure the bike is set up optimally for your growing riders.
Each child that goes through the safety course will receive a new helmet free of charge.
So get the kid’s bikes together, gather the troops this Saturday, and head down to the Butte Plaza Mall from 10 until noon, for the 24th annual bike rodeo. This is a free event, AND there will be pizza and refreshments after the event.
