Butte High Bulldogs Fill The Week With Scrimmages, Golf, And Preseason Action

Butte High Bulldog athletes will have a busy stretch of practices, scrimmages and even some early competition next week, August 17-22, with several sports taking part in preseason activities across Southwest Montana.

The week gets underway on Monday, August 17 with the JV golf team in action here in Butte at the Highland View Golf Course for the Butte Central tournament.  The JVs will get play underway at 9am.  On Tuesday the varsity squad will head to Fairmont for the varsity portion of the tourney with again golfers getting things underway at 9am.

Friday, August 21 will bring a full slate of Purple/White activities at Naranche Stadium and the Butte High gymnasium.  Girls flag football will get things started with their scrimmage at 2pm.

Volleyball scrimmages will begin at 3pm in the Butte High gymnasium with the frosh vs. frosh scrimmage.  At 3:40pm, the Frosh Purple team will play the sophomores followed by the Frosh White vs. the sophomores at 4:20pm.  The evening's volleyball schedule will wrap up at 5pm as the JV team takes on the varsity.

Cross Country runners will hold their time trial at 3pm with the boys and girls team finishing at Naranche Stadium.

Soccer will take over at Naranche as the boys scrimmage will be held from 4pm to pm followed by the girls scrimmage from 5:15pm to 6:15pm.

The day's action will wrap up with the football team's annual Purple and White game at 7pm.
