Another big event is returning this summer to the Original Mineyard.  It's the annual Rhythm and Brews festival and it's one day your family should definitely mark on your calendar.  Rhythm and Brews is put on each August by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Butte and is one of their primary fundraisers.  This year it will be taking place on Saturday, August 19.  It features some of the finest local craft beer our town has to offer along with a large selection of domestic beer for you to enjoy while you check out the many cars, trucks and bikes on display in a huge car show.  Again, this year there will be live music, a children's area, food trucks and a great day for the entire family.

This year's car show is brought to you by Butte Auto and it has gradually become one of the biggest in Southwest Montana.  As far as the musical lineup, they have booked three great local bands, JSTUs, High Ore Road and F.O.G.

This is a very familiar lineup as these bands are busy all summer around Montana but always keep this weekend open for this special event.  You will enjoy the folksy rock of JSTUs.  F.O.G. has staked their claim as one of the premier classic rock and country band in Butte.  And High Ore Road has a wonderful personality.  On a side note, the bands would like to extend a very special thank you to a good friend and brother-in-music, Mr. Toby Schelin.  Toby, in addition to being the day's primary emcee and doubling as the frontman for F.O.G., donates his entire concert PA system and labor to the event and the music simply wouldn't happen without him.  He is also one of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever be lucky enough to meet.

Rhythm and Brews also has a lot of ways for you to help out one of Butte's most honorable charitable organizations.  In addition to learning how you could help directly by becoming a "Big" or assisting in their school-based programs, Rhythm and Brews brings raffles, a 50/50 and your chance to win one of their many incredible gift baskets. Last year featured the infamous "foam machine" that the kids loved in the hot weather and even a Hot Yoga session for those who were in need of further limbering.   Admission again this year is free and the event is very well-attended.  It is also a great place to highlight your business as a donor.  If you would like to join Butte Auto in sponsoring this great event, please contact Laci Peck Ridder at Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Butte in the Executive Village at 501 E. Front Street or call (406)782-9644.
