The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner, L&J Construction Group LLC, have substantially completed improvements on North Interchange Road in Dillon. The half-mile segment received new pavement, seal and cover (chip seal), bridge repairs, new guardrail, and new signage. Permanent epoxy pavement markings are expected to be completed in late August.
There will be several areas of road construction taking place in Butte over the next several months affecting travel as well as on-street parking and access to driveways in certain situations in a number of areas around town. The work is being done as a part of the Butte Pavement Preservation Project and is being handled by the Montana Department of Transportation and Hollow Contracting.

Inevitably with the arrival of warmer weather in Southwest Montana comes a noticeable increase in road construction, repair and upgrades all across the Treasure State. This year, however, things here in Southwest Montana will really kick in this week as the Montana Department of Transportation along with Sletten Construction will begin rehabilitating 7 bridges in and around the Butte area on Interstates 15 and 90.
