The Montana Tech Women's Volleyball Team, hot off of their first-round playoff victory over the College of Idaho, have learned their pool, their match time and their opponent at the National Championships in Sioux City, IA.

It's going to be a busy Saturday on campus. In addition to Saturday's home first-round playoff football game, the Montana Tech Orediggers will also be hosting a first-round playoff volleyball game.

After closing out the regular season with three straight wins including last weekend's impressive 23-17 win at Carroll College, the Montana Tech Orediggers football team has qualified for the 2023 NAIA National Playoffs and will host a first-round game this Saturday at Bob Green Field.

It will be the Frontier Conference verses the Cascade Collegiate Conference and the Continental Athletic Conference in consecutive evenings of men's basketball starting tonight at Kelvin Sampson Court in Montana Tech's HPER Complex. The University of Montana-Western Bulldogs and the host Montana Tech Orediggers will be entertaining the Southern Oregon University Raiders and the Northern New Mexico College Eagles in what should be an exciting preview of what fans can expect during the upcoming season.

Both of Montana Tech's Cross-Country teams have qualified for the 44th annual NAIA Cross Country National Championship. The 2023 National Championship will take place on Friday, November 17, at 11:30 a.m. MT at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course in Vancouver, Wash.

There are always constants when the Orediggers play the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State. You always know it is going to be an intense contest, you always know it is going to be hard fought, and you can always bank on the fact that both teams will be well coached. All of those statements were true Friday night in Dillon, as the Orediggers made off with a 70-56 win over Dickenson, made possible by a strong second half.

Monday evening at Ross J. Richardson Memorial Gymnasium at Butte High School, local volleyball officials honored and thanked longtime official and friend, Tom Roberts, who is retiring after more than 4 decades of service to the sport as a coach, organizer, official, friend and mentor.

Last year the Montana Tech Orediggers Men's Basketball team went further into the postseason than any other in program history, making it to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA national tournament. This year, the team opens the season just outside the NAIA preseason top 5 and open their new season tonight at home.

Tyler Avery of the Montana Tech golf team and Carlin Manning of the women's Cross-Country team have taken home honors from the Frontier Conference.

The Montana Tech Volleyball team was in Bellevue, Washington over the weekend and oh, what a weekend they had. The Orediggers won all three of their matches and all three Erck Hotel/Frontire Conference Player of the Week awards go to a 'Digger.
