If you're traveling through southwest Montana, you'll soon have a new place to stop for a bite to eat and a cold drink. Here's what you need to know about it.

Just north of Three Forks, Montana, you'll find the Headwaters Livestock Auction. In case you're wondering, it's a livestock auction house. Gallatin County is one of the state's to livestock producing areas. Throughout the year, the facility hosts several livestock auctions. The auction yard is located at 25 Wheatland Road off of Highway 287.

Some exciting changes are in the works at the Headwaters Livestock Auction, and one of them is a new restaurant and bar that is expected to open in spring of 2024. The new restaurant and bar will be located inside the Headwaters Livestock Auction sales barn, and will a variety of food & drink for visitors, sellers, and buyers.

We reached out and spoke to a representative at the Headwaters Livestock Auction, and confirmed online rumors about the new restaurant. We were told that it's currently under construction and will open sometime this spring.
