According to the Entrepreneur website, the '70s were full of weird gadgets and inventions. The first mobile phone was introduced in 1973, and the Rubik's Cube was invented in 1974. If you're like me, you may have a few items from the '70s in your home that still work better than anything you can purchase in the store today. I still use my grandma's crockpot. It may be old, but it works like a champ!
While some items from the era remain relevant, many of them are nothing more than a distant memory. The 1970s were a game-changer in several aspects, and Montana has changed a lot since then. The population of the state was 694,409 in 1970, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. By 1980, the population had reached 786,690. Montana didn't even have a daytime speed limit until 1974. Bozeman still had passenger rail service until 1979.
Many of the items invented in the '70s were intended to make life easier and more convenient. If you visit your grandma's house, she most likely still has a few of these items lying around.
