Montana has seen a surge of winter athletes competing in the Winter X Games and Olympics.

Homegrown talent like Maggie Voisin, Darian Stevens, and Eric Bergoust have competed at multiple Olympics and X Games during their career.

The Winter X Games have been a solid place to see Montana athletes compete yearly compared to the Olympics every four years.

The Winter X Games host several of the same events as the Olympics, from Halfpipe to Street to Big Air.

The 2025 Winter X Games concluded this past week, and a new Montana athlete could soon compete in the Olympics.

Iris Pham's skills and performance could propel her further in 2026.

One of the new snowboarding events at the Olympics is Slopestyle, similar to Street Style at the X Games.

She could be the top American contender because she won this event.

The Winter Olympics starts in February 2026, so the Olympic team probably scouted the X Games for potential team members.
