Montana Would Be Perfect For This Big Video Game Franchise
It could be an incredible setting for this video game franchise.
Video Games and Montana
We need more representation.
Montana has had a thin history with video games.
The only kind of video games that would feature Montana would be hunting games, but that has changed over the years.
Montana's landscape and setting have been featured in two high-profile video games in the past ten years.
In 2017, Forbidden Zero Dawn was a futuristic post-apocalypse game mostly set in Wyoming and Colorado. Parts of southwest Montana were featured, including the Roosevelt Arch in Gardiner.
In 2018, the video game franchise Far Cry came out with its fifth installment set in Southwest Montana. Far Cry 5 took the landscape of mountains, forests, and lakes to create the fictional area of Hope County.
Many fans loved Far Cry 5 because of the stunning visuals and the fantastic storyline.
Since then, there haven't been many video games set or based in Montana, but that could change.
Is Fallout Coming to Montana?
One of the most popular video game series today is Fallout.
Fallout is a post-apocalyptic game set in an alternative timeline where everything has a 1950s style with futuristic technology.
The franchise has created nine games and released a successful Amazon Prime television series.
Fallout has featured several post-apocalyptic areas of states like Nevada, California, Boston, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
Many folks want to see the Fallout landscape expand to other states.
One state that could be perfect for a Fallout game is Montana.
Montana has a wild landscape that could provide tough challenges for players.
Big Sky Country's mountains, forests, water features, and wildlife could be obstacles the player must deal with.
