Very Interesting? Hospitality Group Is Buying Businesses in Montana
Could this be a sign of things to come in Montana?
Changes in Montana
It's been drastic over the past several years.
Montana has seen a steep rise in tourists in the past decade. That has led to outside companies looking at possible investment opportunities.
Towns and spots with high tourist seasons have become desirable for many hospitality companies to swoop in, acquire, and take advantage of Montana businesses that have been institutions for locals.
One example of this problem is Chico Hot Springs. Chico was recently sold to a hospitality group for $33 million and has made several significant changes.
The group raised rates and blocked locals from accessing the pools.
It makes sense.
Chico Hot Spring is a Montana institution for resorts in the beautiful Paradise Valley.
It's a solid property to own.
Now, another hospitality group is making moves in Montana.

Hospitality Group Making Moves in Glacier National Park
Should locals be worried?
The Flathead Beacon reports the hospitality group Pursuit recently purchased a historic business in the Apgar Village inside Glacier National Park.
Montana House is an arts and crafts store in Apgar and has been a popular hub for tourists, artists, and locals for nearly 65 years.
Why is this a big deal?
Pursuit has slowly bought multiple businesses in and around West Glacier over the past few years.
Pursuit bought Apgar Lookout Retreat and Eddie's Cafe in the past three years.
Apgar is a massive hub for Glacier National Park because it's one of the few towns inside the park and on the south tip of Lake McDonald, one of the most pristine places in America.
The hospitality company is making smart moves to buy up these historic businesses in this village. These spots will give them a foothold in building or expanding their reach in Glacier National Park.
Do you think locals should be worried about this?
