If you plan on traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, a new weather forecast is predicting cold temperatures and the possibility of snow in some areas. Here's what you need to know before you hit the road.
I will be driving from Bozeman to Boise to spend Thanksgiving with my family, and I when I checked the weather forecast, I got some unfortunate news. It appears that Old Man Winter will be making an appearance just in time for the holiday.
Winter Weather Lurking in New Montana Thanksgiving Weather Forecast
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 27, and people in Montana and around the country will be traveling to spend time with their families. The Old Farmer's Almanac released an updated forecast to give you an idea of what to expect before you get behind the wheel.

Temperatures are expected to plummet beginning early next week with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. A mixture of rain and snow is possible, so be sure to take it slow if temperatures are below freezing as road surfaces could become slick.
If you're driving back to Montana after Thanksgiving, the chance of snow increases on Saturday and Sunday. Slow down and take your time if you encounter a snow storm while driving.
We've been fairly lucky so far this season and have been enjoyed to enjoy above-average temperatures, but things can change in an instant, especially in Montana.
