Buffalo Traffic Jam, a talented band from Bozeman, Montana, hasn't been around long, but the band is already making waves across the indie-folk music scene. The band sold out every single show on its first headlining tour.

The band was formed in Bozeman by Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross. The duo met while attending Montana State University and quickly bonded over a love for making music.

After spending much of 2025 on the road opening for other artists and performing at festivals, Buffalo Traffic Jam put together a full band and kicked off its first headlining tour in February. Every date is a sellout. Not bad for a band from little ol' Bozeman.

I attended a show at The Westerner in Gallatin Gateway last month. The band played songs from their Long Way Home EP, and sprinkled in a few new tunes as well. The entire crowd was singing along to every song.

It was really cool to see, and it was clear that BTJ has a lot of adoring fans. Their unique sound, combined with their dedication, high energy, and passion, makes every performance unforgettable.

It's great to see a band from our own backyard getting so much love. The future looks brighter than ever for Buffalo Traffic Jam. With each sold-out show and glowing review, it’s clear that the band is just getting started. We couldn’t be happier for them, and it's awesome that they're representing Bozeman and Montana State on stages nationwide.
