Montanans enjoy having a good time, and more often than not, that good time might include a drink or two...or more.

All across the state there are bars big and small, plus we have lots of breweries and distilleries so for those that enjoy an adult beverage, you certainly have plenty of options. However, when it comes to the Montanan town that's the drunkest, well there can only be one.

The folks over at 24/7 Wallstreet came out with their list of The Drunkest City In Every State For 2023, and for many Montanans, the winner might not come as a big surprise. We ranked the Top 10 Drunkest Towns in Montana a year ago, and people from Butte were upset that they didn't take the title, which means they're probably not going to be happy with the results for 2023.

So which Montana town takes the crown for being the drunkest in the state?  That honor goes to Missoula.

In all seriousness, it seems like Missoula and Montana might have a problem when it comes to alcohol. According to the data, in the city of Missoula almost a fourth of the residents in the town "drink excessively" which seems like a lot, however, when you look at the rest of the state which has a percentage of 23.9 percent for excessive drinking, well, that puts Montana 3rd in the nation.
