We all have Thanksgiving traditions. Whether it is gathering for a big family meal, joking about who loves or hates that can of pre-made cranberry sauce, or maybe taking part in a community event. When I was growing up, we lived out in the country, and we did not have many Thanksgiving community events to join. But Bozeman is different.

This town has something pretty special, and it has turned into one of the most loved holiday traditions around. It is called the Huffing for Stuffing Race, and besides being a great way to kick off Thanksgiving morning, it is also a way to help others.

The Huffing for Stuffing race takes place every Thanksgiving morning and begins at the Museum of the Rockies. It is a fun run and walk, and all proceeds benefit the HRDC Gallatin Valley Food Bank. It is an easy way to get moving before the big meal and it brings out hundreds of locals who want to start the day with purpose.

You need to make sure you have the right tires, vehicle, and winter clothing. Plus, I would highly suggest you learn how to drive in winter conditions before moving to a state that celebrates winter 6 months out of the year.
