Santa came a little early for Montana State Bobcat fans this year.

Not only are the Cats the 2nd second in the Football Playoffs this year with home field advantage until the National Championship Game, but beloved Head Coach Brent Vigen has assured the University and Bobcat Nation that he isn't going anywhere after multiple publications, including Sports Illustrated, had him as Oregon State's next big hire.

Oh, and then there is the chance that we could actually see Brawl of the Wild, Part 2, here in Bozeman in a few weeks. I'm not sure if you spend much time with Griz Fans, but they are exceptionally whiny after the Cats went into Missoula and ruined their perfect season.

As you can imagine, the excuses are plentiful. From bad officiating to biased TV announcers to just plain cheating, the Griz faithful are full of excuses and reasons why their number one rival came to town and gave them a good 'ole spanking.

Of course, before we can get to a rematch, some business needs to be taken care of, and business for the Bobcats starts this Saturday at Bobcat Stadium, when the Cats host Yale in playoff action.

Yale ended up shocking the football world when they defeated Youngstown State in an old-fashioned shoot-out. The final score was the Bulldogs 43, and the Penguins 42. Yale came back from being 28 points down to earn the right to travel to Bozeman and take on the Bobcats.

When do the Montana State Football Bobcats play next?

The game will take place this Saturday, December 6th, with the kickoff happening at 12 pm.

Oh, that's not the only game taking place this Saturday at noon. The Griz will be hosting South Dakota State at their place, and just remember, this is the same South Dakota State that won a couple of National Championships a few years back and defeated the Cats at home in overtime earlier this year.

So, it's safe to say that both team have their hands full, and while most of Montana is hoping for a rematch, now is not the time to look ahead to what could be. It's time to focus on what is clearly ahead, and that's a Bulldog team that has something to prove.
