The Chill of Nuclear Threats: A Nostalgic Look

I remember being a kid in the early to mid 80s when the thought of Nuclear War was a big threat.

There were movies, songs, protests, all kinds of things where people were expressing their concern. There was America and there was Russia. The two super powers.  Luckily for us, Rocky Balboa won in Rocky 4 and we all learned to get along...ok, not really.

  • Idaho

So, it seems that the definition of safe comes from places that don't have a lot of people living there.

The Myth of Major Cities: Targets vs. Strategic Sites

I mean, you would think that major cities would be targeted, but you would also think so would strategic sites like, oh I don't know, Air Force Bases that have nuclear weapons. Like the one here in Montana and the one in Wyoming.
