Montana’s little towns make up the majority of the state. We obviously have bigger cities with their own standout qualities, but for me, it is the small towns that truly capture the heart of Montana. They are charming, rugged, and a living reminder of the Old West. Livingston is one of those places that immediately leaves an impression. Walking or driving through town feels like stepping back in time. Neon signs glow along Main Street, historic buildings line the blocks, and it is not uncommon for strangers to wave as you pass by.

Winter in Livingston is quiet. Since it is not a ski destination, the colder months belong to locals. While that slower pace is part of the charm, it can be challenging for restaurants and small businesses that rely on steady traffic. That is exactly why Livingston Restaurant Week is such a welcome addition to the winter calendar, January 19th-25th.
Livingston Restaurant Week brings local eateries together to showcase special dishes and drinks, giving residents and visitors a reason to dine out during the slower season. Even better, the event has a strong community focus. Two dollars from every featured item sold goes directly to the Livingston Food Resource Center, an organization that supports families facing food insecurity in Park County.

The need is growing. Rising housing and grocery costs, along with reductions to assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid, have placed added strain on many households.
The goal of Restaurant Week is to raise $10,000 while strengthening connections between restaurants, residents, and neighbors in need. The event is produced by Small Plate Hospitality and funded through a grant provided by the Livingston Tourism Business Improvement District.
