To say that Butte's Mother Lode Theater is a treasure would be an understatement.  From major performances to hometown productions, films to stage performances and much more, the Mother Lode is a big part of the Southwest Montana community.

We are in the final days of a major fundraising raffle that is important to the operation and upkeep of the Mother Lode.  The following is from the President of the Butte Center for Performing Arts, Jocelyn Dodge.

The Mother Lode Theatre is continuing upgrades to the theatre stage components with the 2023 Winspire Raffle. This year's raffle will fund new stage curtains and valances which have not been replaced since the theatre was renovated in the early 1990s. "Age and wear and tear over the past 30 years has taken its toll from the hundreds of shows produced on the stage." said Hannah Hudgins, managing director for the theatre. In addition to replacing the red stage curtains and valance; we will purchase black theatre legs, which are designed to block the audience's view of the backstage areas, and border valance. Funding in part is being provided by a recent grant award from Butte Silverbow's Economic Development Mill Levy. Past raffles have assisted to purchase new lights and controls, sound and controls, and stage fogger and power system.

The raffle offers one winner the choice of seven vacation trips from Winspire, a booking agency that builds and provides bucket-list charity vacation packages for charity auctions and fundraisers. This year the raffle includes trips to Ireland, Cancun, Tuscany, New York City, La Costa CA, Sports weekend, and US Fairmont Resort. Tickets are $100 each and only 250 tickets will be sold, providing excellent odds for winning. Raffle drawing is June 19, 2023. For more information about each trip log onto buttearts.org and contact the Mother Lode Theatre at 406.723.3602 for information on how to purchase tickets.
