This Saturday the genre-defying sound of Naomi Moon Siegel's Seattle Quintet will fill the halls of the Covellite Theater in Butte and music fans of all genres will not want to miss this show.  It is unlike anything you will hear in Montana and really can't be pigeonholed into a single genre.  Here.  See and hear for yourself.

Naomi Moon Siegel's Seattle Quintet is led by Naomi Moon Siegel, an award-winning trombonist, improviser, composer, and educator who "uses the trombone as a vehicle for sonic expression colored by breath, spit, and physicality. Moving beyond conventional genre norms, she allows her lyrical sound to unfurl intuitively. Her original musical vocabulary draws on the richness of a variety of global musical traditions and the sonorities of the natural world."

An adjunct professor of trombone at the University of Montana, Siegel is a dedicated music educator and will be joined onstage by Ray Larsen (Wayne Horvitz) on the trumpet, Andy Coe (McTuff, Skerik) on the guitar, Kelsey Mines (Jovino Santos Neto) on the bass and behind the drum kit will be Christopher Icasiano (Fleet Foxes).

Tickets for this amazing show are available now for $15 at covellitepresents.org or in person at the Covellite Theater.  The ticket price will increase by $5 on the day of the show and at the door Saturday night.  Doors open at 7pm and showtime is set for 8pm.  The Covellite Theater is located at 216 W. Broaway in Historic Uptown Butte and is one of the best live music venues in Southwest Montana.
