The holiday season just wouldn't seem complete without taking in a local Christmas play, right? The Open Theatre Project of Anaconda has the remedy! Under the guidance of Creative Director Sue Konicek, local students will take to the Anaconda Little Theater Stage on December 9th, 10th & 11th to perform in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". As described in Good Reads, This Christmas classic by Barbara Robinson follows the chaotic lifestyle of the Herdman siblings, who take over the community Christmas Pageant in the most outrageous and harried way! In the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, the tale is widely known as "The Worst Kids in the History of the World". This hilarious play will have you in stitches as 'Three Wise Men' intertwine with frightened shepherds, a ham, and a hand full of mischievous rascals!

As the plot unfolds, the Herdmans start to envision the magic of the season and the story of Christmas in a more productive way...but you'll have to judge for yourself. The Anaconda Open Theatre's performance of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is suitable for all ages and runs December 9th & 10th at 7 p.m. and December 11th at 1 p.m. No reservations are required, but seating is limited, so audience members are encouraged to arrive early for the best outcome. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and are available at the Anaconda Little Theatre (515 Main) ONLY on the dates of the shows. So come to support loved ones or friends who may have a part in the play, or simply come to energize your holiday spirit! For details, call (406) 533-5269.
