
Travis Denning headlining Butte’s Uptown Summer Kick-Off Thursday
Thursday is shaping up to be a big evening in Uptown Butte as Colt Anderson's Dream Big Montana Experience gets underway with everything from a kids play area to an incredible freestyle motocross show from Keith Sayers. As always, there will be a big concert and this year it's Butte's Levi Blom and Nashville recording artist Travis Denning. Who is Travis Denning? Here are five things you need to know about him.
1. HE HAS A RECORD DEAL WITH MERCURY NASHVILLE
Travis Denning is under contract with Mercury Nashville and made his chart debut with the single "David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs" which cracked the Top 40 and was certified gold by the RIAA.
2. HE HAS A #1 SINGLE UNDER HIS BELT
Denning celebrated his first No.1 and Platinum certified single with the catchy “After A Few,” from his debut EP Beer’s Better Cold, which made its debut in the Top 20 of Billboard's Country Albums chart.
3. HE HAS WRITTEN HITS FOR OTHER ARTISTS
The current hit from Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood, "I'm Gonna Love You"? That was written by Travis Denning back in 2016. e has co-written on tracks for Morgan Wallen along with Riley Green, Chase Rice, Jason Aldean, Justin Moore and Michael Ray.
4. HE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A HUGE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
After the show on Thursday, Denning heads to Santa Rosa, CA for the Country Summer Music Fest on Saturday and then heads back to the East Coast for a show in Courtland, VA in early August. By the end of the year he will have played in Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and Florida.
5. HE HAS OVER 850 MILLION STREAMS WORLDWIDE
With over 850 million streams worldwide, Denning in past years has selected as one of CRS New Faces, an Opry NextStage recipient and a CMA KixStart Artist.
