It's the kind of thing that every family fears but also the kind of thing that you wouldn't think would happen in Montana.  Last year, Butte's Jake Kraus was attacked brutally in Great Falls by a literal gang of thugs, the attack lasting well past the point of consciousness.  Jake was left with traumatic brain injuries that had doctors fearing for the worst.  Jake beat many odds and is now on the long road of recovery although the financial cost has been high, and they are not nearly at the end.  There are many necessary family expenses that Jake's insurance will not cover, expenses like travel and hotel costs for the trips the family has had to take during his recovery.  This young husband and father and his family could really use your help.

This Saturday, the Butte Depot at 818 S. Arizona will be the site of a benefit to help Jake and his young family.  Activities will get underway at 3pm and will include both a live auction and a silent auction as well as a dart tournament and a 50/50 drawing.  Food will also be available as chicken and spaghetti have been generously donated by Mike Thatcher and Community, Counseling and Corrections, Inc.  All are invited and encouraged to attend.
