Great places in Butte to catch the Cat/Griz Game

Butte has always had a special relationship with the annual Cat/Griz Football Game.  Geographically, we're right between the two universities and in addition to sending several players to both teams' rosters, Butte even hosted the big game from 1926 to 1951.  Couldn't get tickets and are going to be watching the game here in town?  Here are a few places worth checking out.

METALS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL, 8 W. PARK ST.

Metals Sports Bar and Grill is a great place to catch any game with their 31 televisions, 20 beers on tap and extensive collection of cocktails.  Metals also boasts one of the finest menus in town offering everything from appetizers to full gourmet dinners prepared by a professional chef.  Metals also has great decor with memorabilia, jerseys and stories special to Butte and even a room dedicated to Butte's amazing history of coaches.

MAGIC DIAMOND CASINO, ELIZABETH WARREN AND HARRISON

The Magic Diamond on Harrison and Elizabeth Warren is a great place to catch the game if you're with friends because of the tables that are great for pitchers of beer or one of the items from their deli, all brought right to your table.  Of course, you can enjoy mixed drinks as well and if you're team is really taking a beating, there's a liquor store right through the north doors.

BUTTE DEPOT , 818 S. ARIZONA

The Butte Depot does not have a restaurant but what they lack in food, they more than make up for in drink specials and casino deals.  The Depot has pull tabs and some of the newest poker, keno and reel machines in town just in case you feel like wagering a buck or two.
