
Bulldog basketball in action this week, wrestlers head to Divisionals
Butte High's boys and girls basketball teams are in the thick of Western AA conference play while the boys and girls wrestling teams head into the postseason. Here is where and when the Butte High Bulldogs will be in competition this week.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH
It's the Missoula Sentinel Spartans on the docket with the girls at home and the boys on the road. The girls will play at Butte High School with the frosh and sophomores tipping off at 4pm, the JVs at 5:30pm and the varsity tilt is set for 7pm. This is the second meeting between the two schools this year with the Butte girls winning in Missoula on January 9th, 45-22. The boys will follow the same schedule in the Garden City and the Bulldogs will be looking to avenge a 53-37 home loss to the Spartans, also on January 9th.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6TH
On Friday, the boys return home to Ross J. Richardson Memorial Gymnasium to face the Missoula Hellgate Knights. Frosh and sophomore teams play at 4pm, the JVs at 5:30pm and the varsity contest is at 7pm. The Knights won a 76-74 double-overtime thriller in Missoula on January 11th. The girls team will be on the road, at Missoula Hellgate. The frosh play at 4pm, the JVs at 5:30pm and the varsity game is at 7pm. The girls won in Missoula on January 11th, 45-22.
On Friday, the Butte High boys and girls wrestling teams will be heading to the Divisional/State Qualifying Tournament being hosted by Flathead High School in Kalispell. The tournament will run through Saturday,
