Referred to as "Sully" throughout my youth, I contemplated using it as an "on-air" name. Needless to say this never happened, but it's still fun to mention and there's still time! As a graduate of the University of Montana, I first ventured my way onto the air waves as a television reporter. Not long after, I dove into the radio industry. I enjoy media as a career and the potential it has to inform and support the community. Other than consume comfort food nightly, I do have some hobbies. I'm a huge fan of forensic documentaries, chick flicks and mobster movies (I don't understand the combination, either) Plus, I love concerts! Rock, country, jazz, classical, reggae, alternative, electronic, R&B, hip-hop, rap, folk...pick the genre and I'm there! I especially love outdoor concerts and another great love I have of the outdoors, involves long walks with my incredible dog and the occasional human. For many years now, I have tested the waters as a performer in live, local theatre, and whether it be studio artwork, ballet, jazz or modern dance, I'm a big supporter of the arts. As for sports and no matter the level, I'm a huge fan of basketball, track & field and baseball. Any or all of the above, of course, is only important and possible with the bond of family and friends. Here's to those special bonds for everyone.

World Renowned Ventriloquist is Coming to Montana
Where to start when it comes to this guy? I mean, every time he hits the stage, he has us believing hook, line, and sinker that his "side-kick" co-hosts actually have a mind of their own and, furthermore, that they're REAL! Of course, I'm talking about the multi-talented Jeff Dunham, who is set to make two appearances in Montana this April during his "Still Not Cancelled" Tour"! On the one hand (pun intended), he's a ventriloquist who brilliantly knows how to throw his voice with some of the most hilarious one-liners and comedy bits to ever come out of his clenched jaw. No doubt he knows how to grab the audience's attention because Jeff Dunham is pretty d*mn funny and so much more.
Lady Heads Seal the Deal to Play in District 6B Championship this Saturday
The Lady Copperheads came to play tonight tenfold! This evening's 66 to 24 win over the Deer Lodge Lady Wardens in the District 6B Basketball Tournament in Anaconda, earned them a presumed shot at Saturday's championship match-up against the Loyola Breakers...

Pizza Favorites Served Up in Anaconda
So, like anything, when you try to do too much of one thing, your body and your brain retaliate. The point being, by Thanksgiving I basically gave "low-carb" the finger and started to consume every ounce of bread, pasta, and potato I could get my hands on. This is where" pizza with crust" became my friend again. So from venting about carb neglect comes this realization full circle; MY fascination with pizza!! AND so after two paragraphs of rambling about my carb intake, time to cut to the chase on my top picks for pizza at four fabulous locations in the suburb of Anaconda, Montana.
Children’s Theatre Company Continues Journey in Montana & Beyond
So far this year, MCT has performed in several regions across Montana, including Dillon this past January and Helena and Anaconda earlier this month. Performances and auditions will also occur in Clancy beginning February 13th, Lima on February 20th, Deer Lodge and Townsend the week of February 27th, Belgrade, Ennis, and Montana City starting March 3rd, and Boulder the week of March 27th. I was happy to learn of the awesome experience some friends of mine had during MCT's visit to Anaconda. Needless to say, I was in awe of the darling pictures the Dee and Vauthier family showed me (above) of their beautiful daughter/granddaughter, Kirra. She played the role of a dutiful apple seed in MCT's production of Johnny Appleseed on February 4th. Way to go, Kirra, and hats off to all fellow performers! One day, we may see you on the silver screen! See more great photos of the awesome kids who performed in Anaconda below, courtesy of Kirra's mom, Kylie! Thank you to Grandma Rhonda, as well! Other MCT shows presented in Montana last month and expected to continue through the Spring include King Author's Quest, Red Riding Hood, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and The Emperor's New Clothes!
Innovative Ways to Rescue Perishable Valentine’s Gifts
After you've inhaled more chocolate and candy than you can stand, incorporate them into cookie and cake recipes for your kiddo's classmates, school functions, or as a housewarming gift for friends and relatives that still talk to you. As for those beautiful roses your sweetheart gave you for Valentine's Day, when they are about to lose their luster, take each flower and hang them upside down on a hanger with either floral tape, string, or clothes pins wrapped around the stem of the flower and the hanger. Allow them to dry upside down on the hangers for a few days. From there, take the newly created "dried flowers" off the hangers and arrange them in a vase. You can also dip or brush them in lacquer or epoxy (dry overnight in a can or glass) to create a bouquet in an antique kettle or other hip contraptions for display. The possibilities are endless, as many people like to press Valentine's flowers between books as keepsakes, too. Use your imagination with other Valentine's gifts or any perishable presents throughout the year!
Butte’s Frigid Digger Run Set for Saturday
The Wulfman's Frigid Digger Run is obviously called that for a reason; it happens during one of the the coldest times of the year and right in Butte! Competitors of the Frigid Digger Run are no doubt tough as nails. On one hand they're runners! So, right there, that shows their level of endurance! On the other hand, their level of stamina is apparent by their ability to run in such harsh weather conditions. You can show your endurance and stamina, as well, by getting involved in the Frigid Digger Run set for this Saturday, February 18th! Race-day registration happens at 9 a.m. at Montana Tech's HPER lobby (1300 W Park Street, Butte).
